About NBA 2K21 Soundtrack
NBA 2K21 had two soundtracks – one for Current Gen (PS4 & Xbox One) and one for Next-Gen (PS5 & Xbox Series X|S).

Why did NBA 2K22 change its soundtrack?
In a press release emailed to Deseret News, David Kelley, the senior manager of partnerships and licensing at 2K, the senior manager of partnerships and licensing that the new soundtrack will help implement real-life culture into the game.
“This year, the opportunity to evolve the experience for players by creating moments where we can debut and share incredible new music is another step toward how we are bringing together the real-world of basketball culture with our game through music, not only through well-known artists but also providing our players an opportunity to get in the game and showcase their own talents,” he said.
Can you record music in NBA 2K22?
And you can apparently record your own music in the game. Per NBA 2K, the game will have a Producer Series feature that will have a “beats pack” that will “create an opportunity for the community to record their best verses over the beats and showcase their talent.”
